.I asked myself, after studying Rick Warrens “Purpose Driven Life,”... “What gifts has the Lord given me that I could use to glorify Him, and help someone else?” I believe I’ve been blessed with several, but one is the ability and the love to sew. Some time ago, some friends approached me with an idea for a sewing project that could develop into a substantial amount of sewing, more than I could handle by myself.  I was going to need help. I have, for quite some time, had a special love and fondness for a small community west of where I live, named Indiantown.  It is a community of approximately 5,000 beautiful families; predominately Mexican and Guatemalan decent, six churches, and a need for jobs for “stay at home moms.”     One Sunday, a friend and I drove out to Indiantown, and I was blessed with the opportunity to be introduced at Sunday Mass, and was encouraged to extend an invitation to anyone who was interested in sewing to meet me outside after service.  The response was amazing. That original sewing project has not materialized, but my sense of obligation to the women was constant and heavy on my mind, and I felt I had to come up with another project for them. One day, I went out to my garage and began rummaging through my boxes of craft projects, and was amazed at all of the beautiful remnant pieces of fabric that I have been saving for years, and asked myself, “what can I do with all of this fabric?” Later that morning, I was sitting at my desk reading some of the beautiful biblical and inspirational verses that I have been saving for years, and realized…… “that’s it !!! …… incorporate the verses, the fabric and the mom’s from Indiantown…..the result…..”My Happy Hearts.” A very dear and dedicated friend was the keystone in several areas of the birth of “My Happy Hearts,” and will be eternally grateful for his time, thoughts, patience and dedication in walking with me on this journey. I continue daily to come across another beautiful verse of wisdom that I would love to share with someone – and I believe in “MY HAPPY HEART,” that God has chosen this as my way to minister for Him. My vision is to have “My Happy Hearts Sewing Club,” be able to sew enough hearts to be able to sell at a Christian Conference level, therefore giving the women of Indiantown and their families a better standard of living, a proud sense of accomplishment, and at the same time glorifying God by sharing his word and the fruit of the Holy Spirit through the verses on “My Happy Hearts.” THANK YOU for your purchase of this beautiful heart and may it bring you peace and pleasure each time you look at it, and congratulate yourself for being a part of contributing to someone else’s happiness.  CUSTOM ORDERS GRACIOUSLY TAKEN      “Happy Hearts”  My own hand-crafted, embellished 4 x 6 heart shaped hanging pillows, printed with inspirational or biblical  verses.     Here’s how it all began:
